The skirt, like most of our pieces, is a base for different layering. The thick waistband and belt loops allow for fun layering like this Pleated Seamstress belt. I wanted to make a utility belt through a feminine lens as opposed to the typical image of utility-wear. I’m always losing my thread scissors so it was crucial that the belt had slots to hold sewing necessities, which inspired the name!
